A couple of weeks ago my daughter and I traveled to Sarasota, Florida to visit my parents. The time spent there was wonderful and the weather was in the 70's - much better than ours in the 40-50's! A lot of time was spent at the beaches - needed to pretend I was a "Floridian" instead of a Canadian!
The main beach we frequented was Venice Beach....loved the sand and sea....I couldn't even imagine laying on our beaches in Canada in the month of February - can anyone say ice cube??

We spent many meals eating out at fantastic places, but this night was spent at the diner of Dale and Ruthie - the best in Sarastota! The best ribs in town and a key lime pie to die for!! Thanks Dale and Ruthie - you're the best!
